Latest Commissions

Recently I’ve completed two fantastic commissions.  The first 40 x 60″ oil on canvas was commissioned by a couple in Winnipeg, Manitoba who first saw my work in a featured article To See the World as Poetry by Debra Usher in Arabella Magazine Tina Newlove

They were particularly drawn to my paintings They Looked Past Her and Through Her and Winter Burden.
It was a pleasure to keep these pieces in mind while we discussed sizes and winter themes for a specific piece of work just for them.  As I work on a number of pieces at a time I expected the work to take 6 months to a year to complete but was happy to be able to have the time to focus on this work and it was achieved within 4 months.  It was a new experience shipping a painting this large and I recommend Total Transport Solutions who took great care in crating and shipping my artwork.  The finished painting was titled The City was Quiet in the Background. More of the process and further details can be seen below in the gallery.

The second commission was for a family in Lehi, Utah who were interested in my little watercolours of figures in cities such as these examples.

I sent them four sketches to choose from and when they decided on the piece they wanted added in the colour.  You can see the sketch and then the finished colour by clicking on the second page (2) in the gallery below.
