Heads in the Clouds explores the intersections of work and family, home-life and neighbourhoods as well as feelings of disconnect and alienation and the sense of being lost in a crowd. The tallest figures with their heads in the top third of the canvas are walking in a world of their own making but are grounded in the jumble of overlapping figures in the lower two-thirds of the piece. Figures are found in contemplative moments or moving quickly talking to unseen counterparts.
