I painted Pears in the City, a 3.5 x 6.5” watercolour (unframed) on a picnic table in August 2020. My fabulous hosts (Windsor Feminist Theatre) were able to rejig with care my Artist Residency with the Stone and Sky Music and Art Series. I was originally meant to perform on Pelee Island (Ferry closed to non-residents due to Covid) and instead I was staying in a small Bunkie cabin in a delightful backyard in Windsor ON with birds and pears and a fire pit. We were able to put on a socially distanced back yard performance to a very small audience where I enjoyed live painting to poet Gord Grisenthwaite and musicians Ray Manzerolle and Mike Karloff.
My previous Artist Residency with Stone and Sky was on Pelee Island in 2019.
