Spring, Bluebirds and New Paintings

Yesterday what a day. Feels like spring has finally sprung and wants to jump right into summer. Today thunderstorms and flowers popping. The peepers are peeping and there’s lots going on at the studio. In our meadow labyrinth the bluebirds have been tussling it out with the tree swallows for the centre nesting box and maybe that’s how I found Brandon from Bluebird Graphic Design who has created a logo and signs for me! so thrilled with the result.

I’ve enjoyed four weeks as a Mentor with the Fine Art Society of Milton (FASM) Youth Project. You can see the talent and dedication of these high school students at the Holcim Gallery, Milton Centre for the Arts until May 12, 2018.

Recently I dropped off Pictures Leaping Off the Page and Streetlights and Umbrellas, two new big oil paintings to Hedi at the Gallery at Mill St. and Bronte St. Milton ON shown below with my sketches:

I’m excited about my works in progress at the studio with a couple heading to Towne Square Gallery in Oakville when complete to add to their Newlove collection.

I look forward to sharing new work and exciting projects with you over the next few months!
