I start my days walking in every season and all kinds of weather. My studio in Campbellville ON, Canada (50 minutes West of Toronto) is in Nassagaweya Township (Iroquoian language: the Land of Rocks and Water A.D. 1000 to 1650) and is part of the protected Greenbelt of the Niagara Escarpment. It’s a joy to live in this beautiful area with the forest, pond and marsh close at hand. Although my paintings are not plein air, they retain an immediate impression of the landscape and the way I think while on my walks which is also reflected in the titles ex. Melting Sun, Spring Escaping Winter.
